Vegas and all the things….

September 19, 2018

Recently me and some friends and a couple of our husbands went to Vegas. It was such a different trip than years before. Years before, we would go and just bar hop and drink all day in the casinos and this trip was not like that. Do not get me wrong, we did go to the casinos but we did actual activities this time. The girls and I arrived on Thursday. I actually arrived a few hours before the other girls and went and saw Chesney, Mrs. Texas. She was competing in the Mrs. America pageant which is actually the reason for me going in the first place and then we turned it into a friend weekend. I got to spend some time with her and her hubby for a bit before she had to get ready for her events. It was nice to have that 1:1 time with her.

From there, I met the girls at the hotel and we had lunch and got ready for the evening. They were such wonderful friends and went with me to the preliminary pageant. It was so fun and we had a great girls evening. After the pageant, we went to see the show Absinthe. If you are ever in Vegas, I highly recommend this show. Be warned, it is quite rouchy but it is so funny. My stomach hurt the next morning from laughing so hard. I honestly cannot wait to go back to Vegas, just to see that show. It is that good. After the show..Of course, I was trying to have all the fun in the room but the girls were not having it and I am so thankful for that because I felt great Friday. But seriously, those girls give me life, that night was one of my favorites of all time!! Then the next morning the guys arrived and we had yummy food and then went to poolside. The best part of the pool was that we opted out on the party pool and picked the calm pool. It is crazy how things have changed in a couple of years. IN the past, we would have partied until we could not see straight, now we are more into chatting and enjoying eachothers company. I am so thankful for that and how much we have grown as adults. That evening we had a yummy dinner and then went to bed.  Then it was Saturday. That day we went to the downtown area and played around. We actually rode the Higher Roller in Las Vegas. If you have never done that, I would strongly suggest it. It is really cool and last like 30 minutes. The views are gorgeous and it is one of those experiences I will never forget. Actually, I see that on routine for our future trips to Vegas. That night we ate at our favorite Vegas restaurant, STK. It was so dang good and of coures we had some amazing wine!! Who doesn’t like yummy wine, right?  The next morning we had to leave, and I was so sad but so ready to see my babies. Andrew and I flew home and slept the entire ride home. So, that was our Vegas weekend.

Oh and one more thing, my friend Chesney, Mrs. Texas was in the top 6 at Mrs. America. She is truly amazing and if you do not follow her, you should.  She is going to change lives.  I could not be more proud of her and her hard work and so honored that I got to watch her on stage at Mrs. America. That was one of the coolest experiences and I look forward to watching the rest of her journey.

Here is some photos from my phone  to recap our weekend. I hope you enjoy and have a great evening!!

xo,

HO
