Tasty Tuesday- Roast in the Crockpot

January 17, 2017

Feeling lazy, and do not want to worry about your next meal? Luckily for you, Bethany and I have you covered. This month’s Tasty Tuesday is dedicated to National Slow Cooker month. I seriously love crockpot/slow cooker meals. Sometimes, I just do not feel like cooking and if I have all the ingredients, I will find myself leading towards a easy crockpot meal. This month I wanted to share my roast. I love roast, I really do and every time I eat it, I feel like a young girl again eating my mommas roast. Hers is way better than mine but isn’t all moms stuff better? I am hoping my kids say that about me one day. I was really excited to share it with the twins, as they never had it before and it was a total hit. They loved it! So, if you are looking for a new roast to cook while it is still cold outside, make sure to give mine a try. Also, do not forget to go over to my friend Bethany’s blog to see what she has cooking and all the amazing things she is doing. Her blog will not disappoint, and she is fun as all get out. CHEERS!

Crock pot Roast:

  • Boneless Beef Chuck Roast (2 pounds)

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 packet of ranch dressing

  • 1 packet of brown gravy

  • 1/2 bag of carrots (small)

  • Some people use potatoes but we did not for this time, because the twins do not like potatoes.

Directions:

  1. Put the water, ranch dressing packet and brown gravy packet in a bowl and whisk to make a mix.

  2. Place the roast in the crockpot and pour the mix over the roast.

  3. Cook the roast for 7 hours on low and then place the carrots in and cook for another hour. At that 7th hour, I usually pull out the roast if not falling apart already and shred it more and then place back in crockpot to soak up the juices with the carrots. Cook for another hour.

  4. Remove roast and make your favorite side items and enjoy!!!

Also, if you do not have crockpot liners, do yourself a favor and get some. They will make your clean up so much easier.

CHEERS,

HO

Yes, there is a Christmas mug in the background. LOL! We use these all year wrong in this household.
