Happy Wednesday, everyone! So, I am going to be very honest here and tell you I have no idea what I am doing. I have spent the past few days trying to create this perfect blog and perfect email to then delete and start over again and again. I also realized I was doing double work and had no clue. Did you know that there is this thing called RSS that pulls your content into an email from your blog? If not, let me save you the trouble and tell you there is and its a life saver. Now, do not ask me how, but I can introduce you to my friend google, who might direct you into the right direction. I myself have probably called my best friend Jennifer more in the past few days than I call her in a month to ask random blog questions. I know she will always be supportive and help me, but if I was her, I would block my number. If it was not for her though, I probably would still be sitting here trying to create some perfect picture blog that really is not me. She gave me some advice today and I am sitting here doing it tonight. She told me to just chill and drink a glass of wine and see if it comes to me. I was so focused on creating the perfect post, I was not being real. I think I got so boggled down with the day to day (family, cooking, projects, work, being awesome) that I would try to create a blog at 5 am in the morning or during my lunch break and it was total crap. It was boring and probably did not make sense and you did not get to see the real Blonde Twin Mom. So tonight I sit here drinking my wine and opening myself up to you. I know we all want to be perfect and have the perfect posts and say the perfect things, and be the perfect this or that but in reality that isn’t me. I am crazy, and random and honestly you never know what you are going to get but that is me. I am sure you are wondering why I am beating myself up over a blog post and the truth is because this post means so much to me. This post is the a post of so many memories for me. It is the post where I actually picked out this entire outfit by myself; no sending a picture to my friends, no Pinterest copy cat, no googling what to wear, this post is all me. Plus, it was a fun day with two of my best friends and we found some of the most amazing streets in Deep Ellum. It also is the first photo that was taken in my photo shoot for the blog. (more to come on that experience in next week blog) It has pink, which is my absolute favorite color and there is animal print shoes in it and anyone that knows me, knows I love shoes. I love all the shoes. So, I guess that is why this post has been so hard to write. I really feel passionate about it and I wanted to portray that to everyone. I also must say that I have never been a big Deep Ellum person but now I realize it is because I never really experienced Deep Ellum during the day in previous years. I have gone out at night to bars and watch bands but I never paid attention to all the street art that is displayed throughout the streets. That all changed the day we took these pictures and now I have a new love for this amazing city. The colorful street art is so creative and absotuley beautiful, and can be seen on all the streets throughout the area. So if you are ever in the Dallas area, do yourself a favor and go spend a few hours in the afternoon in the streets of Deep Ellum. I hope you walk away feeling the love for street art like I did.
Now let’s talk fashion. This outfit is probably one of my favorite outfits to date. Blush is a very popular trend this fall so when I found this shirt, I knew I needed it in my life. It also is off the shoulders, which is another plus for me personally. I love pink anything and my husband loves almost anything that is off the shoulder, so I knew he would love me wearing it. I am not sure what it is about off the shoulder but it really gives that flirty and fun feeling. Plus, pink is just a pretty color and can look pretty on anyone. The black jeans I am wearing are extremely comfortable. If you have seen my other posts, you have seen me sporting the “mom jeans,” so me to find some jeans that were tight but not too tight is a win. Black is slimming, so give me something to make me look slim, feel confident and sexy and still comfortable, that is a double win. But every solid outfit needs that pop to make its statement, which is where the zebra shoes come in. Throwing on these shoes told me and everyone around me, “that girl is fun.”This is true. Honestly though, I just love animal print shoes. I think they are spunky and fun and if worn with the right outfit can be quite flirty. You could even switch out the zebra shoes for some leopard ones, and give it a totally different look. My latest love has been this black wrap bracelet from Boho Betty , I just cannot get enough of it. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably have seen me sporting it a few times already. You can shop more from their site here. So, do yourself a favor, throw on an off the shoulder shirt, black jeans and some animal print shoes and get out on the town. Cheers!!
